Assam State Archives has a publication unit which brings out publication of reference media for the users such as indexes of records, descriptive list, subject list, summary list, guides, inventories calendars, catalogues, cartographic lists etc.

During its Annual Archives Week celebration, it publishes the Souvenir "The ARCHIVUM", brouchures, leaflets and books. The goal is to create general awareness about records and their values among the public. Some illustrative lists of publications by Assam State Archives is given below:
